These updates will hopefully be every three weeks or so, with future notifications to be much less breathless, and contain much less stuff, while I find my way among the majority of you that are better-traveled than I am. Since some of you are currently on voyages and doing much more exciting things than my gripping experiences of Excel and PowerPoint, please send your own dispatches past-present-future and/or contribute to the Travel Co-Op Blog. Posts are collated as one unit here, but they are mirrored on the TCO blogspot if you want to comment without getting a tumblr account.
The time since I arrived on August 30th has been a beautiful blur between Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Nairobi, so there are many things I’ve wanted to document until my time is up at the end of this year. Simultaneously, I know you are all probably busy, often with brilliant-glamorous-hilarious endeavors. As such, apologies in advance if you find this tiresome. This doesn’t really help if you find my writing style pedantic or pretentious, but let’s call this an opt-in system since you’ve read this far anyway. I will not at all be offended if you ask to be taken off future notifications. In turn, if for some reason you’ve found your way to this blog, haven’t run away yet, and want in on the e-mail pings, drop me a line.
Let me get the ball rolling since you’ve actually made it this far (sorry).
The name of this blog is threecorners since I will be triangulating the southern, eastern, and western geography of sub-Saharan Africa as I make my way through SA, Kenya, and Ghana. troiscoins will happen if and when I manage to do this for the francophone part of the continent, although in that case the triangle will be considerably smaller and less southern.
